Disaster in Japan

Guys, an 8.9-magnitude earthquake hit off the east coast of Japan early today. The quake -- one of the largest in recorded history -- triggered a 23-foot tsunami that battered Japan's coast, killing hundreds and sweeping away cars, homes, buildings, and boats. Spud Fish & Chips

Spud fish & chips, winner of 2010 Best Restaurant Awards, Historic Seattle Seafood Restaurant from Seattle Magazine. Small place at the corner, really close with ZoeYogurt and I love Hot Yoga in Green Lake area. I didn't plan to come but I was hungry (even after had the fro-yo), so I decided to try this restaurant. Very direct, once you get in, you will see the cashier and the fryer (as seen on the picture below).

A very blue place, blue apron :P, blue sign, blue table and chair but I hope you guys don't feel blue as well.
My one piece fish + tartar

It taste so-so (for me). Luckily the fish is pretty fresh, but I feel like eating flour more than the fish. The fish cut pretty thinly, they deep fried brand new, crunchy and perfect golden brown, not salty (like it) and they charged another $.25-$.50 for sauces. It cost me $5 for a piece of fish and the tartar. To be honest, I won't come back but if you like fish and chips, might just try it :) Different people have different taste bud, agree?

Zoe Yogurt

Who loves Frozen Yogurt? ME! ME! ME! Haha, I know it's silly but when Red Mango just first open, I can get the froyo like 3 times/week. As a fast learner, I also learn how to increased my tummy capacity. When I first had the froyo, I share the regular size then small for myself then I can get regular size for myself and just the next day ~ foila. Large for myself, off course with 3 toppings!

BTW I believe most of you familiar with Yogurtland, moreover people who live in CA. No worry Seattlite Yogurtland will be soon opening in Broadway, just next to Seattle Central Community College. Geez, why I'm writing about another fro-yo place when I supposed to review on ZOE YOGURT!

ZOE Yogurt, they just open in Green Lake Area, I post some pictures below:

12 flavors for you to choose

If you see on the right part, there's like small cup it's for sampling cup. There are sorbet as well

The toppings

If you like banana, and you can't find it. Do not worry because you just have to simply ask them. They just don't put the banana on the tray because as we know banana gets brown easily. On the right corner, they have hot fudge, hot marshmallow, caramel, honey and other sauces. Good job, Zoe

Tara!! 12 flavors with plenty of toppings

Haha, it's $.42/oz and I have no clue why I ended having 11.2 oz -_____-" I think I get the toppings more than the fro-yo. Hehe, toppings pretty fresh I have to say. Mango a little bit mushy, mochi pretty good, lil different from Red Mango. Overall, it's pretty good, they have pretty strong flavor but a little too sweet comparing Yogurtland. I might be wrong because it's been 3 months since I had Yogurtland.

Based on my tastebud, their acai is pretty sour. I won't tell you what to have, just try it :P My favorite toppings formula : graham crackers, raspberry, mochi, chocolate chip. NYUM or Mango, almond and kiwi. Oh well, just get it all! Have fun with your experiment :P

The Breakfast Club

I just realized that I have quite many "unpublished/un-reviewed" pictures. Since my friend was asking about The Breakfast Club picture, I just thought might as well just do the review :)

The Breakfast Club, locating in Lake City and within 3 minutes walking distance from Chase bank or just next to Thai One On. Unique and super american typical restaurant, all freshly cook by a lady and I think the husband is the waiter :P

This is the inside, there weren't any Indonesian around and I don't know if there were before. Old-fashioned and classic, surrounded by pictures. I think the owner put her daughter or grand daughter pictures. Keep track how the lil girl start growing up :)

The Hobo
Three large eggs, sausage, onions, peppers and potatoes scrambled together and topped with cheddar cheese

Three large eggs? Yes, the portion is HUGE. I can't finish it, it's wayyyyyy too much!

The Frisco
Bacon, zucchini, avocado, Swiss cheese and topped with our homemade hollandaise

Honestly, I don't really remember how does it taste since this is not mine as well. I don't think I really can taste the avocado tho. I know hollandaise should be sour but it's too tangy for my tastebud

Custom Omelette's

Hm, don't remember exactly but I believe there are spinach and sausage. I forgot the other ingredients, potato taste pretty good.

Short Stack (2 Big Cakes)

FRESH HOMEMADE PANCAKE. This is my favorite among other foods, hahaha. It's fluffy, way better than IHOP or Denny's or Shari's. Syrup isn't that sweet. Lovin' it.

The place is unique, feels so homey. They don't have the best parking spot but I believe you can figure that out. We don't get the best service ever but I don't really care. Feel free to come if you looking for something different :)

Krua Thai

Happy Friday guys! or wait, it's past 12 o'clock so I should have just said "Happy Weekend" guys! :) Today, me and my friend went to Krua Thai restaurant. It's family style Thailand restaurant. I've been thinking of coming by since last year? The restaurant actually look pretty big, but not until we came in. Good size restaurant with 5/5 service. Thank you so much for the pleasant service and all the attention :) SO, based on my friend recommendation, I tried the crispy pork and spicy basil. The other two suggestion are the prikpao and panang curry. I'm pretty clueless but try to ask for their "thai menu", this is what my friend told me to do as well. Maybe the thai menu, list the food completely rather than on the board (yah, I guess so).

I didn't even read the menu and just ordered based on my suggestion. The guy said that prikpao is a little sweet, so for those who like sweat. Why not try it? :P

Crispy Pork

Tralalala, have you guys been to Thai One On and have their Crispy Pork Over rice? It's actually similar BUT different with the one at thai one on. A little bit salty, but once again thanks for asking if i want it to be replaced with the new one :) I love basil, and it blends well. I got some pork that chewy and some pork that lil bit tough but I guess that's just how it's gonna be?

LOOK AT THE RICE

I know it sounds silly, but I took this picture just want to show you guys how generous they are with the rice.
Spicy Basil with Chicken

I ordered 5/5 spiciness and i couldn't taste any spiciness -_-" They chief should have known how good Indonesian face spicy food :P I can tell this one is just STD (standard) taste that you can find in other place. Not too salty, I like this one better than the other one and also with the fresh mushroom, it blends well :)

Cleanliness : good; service : excellent; taste : standard; parking : easy; portion : GENEROUS.

*intermezo: As I mentioned in the previous blog, I have no clue why facebook changed their look, but I finally found a way to get the code because i don't want to download the food pictures into my computer. So hope you guys like the size that I usually use or feel free to let me know which one you like better :) Hope you guys found this blog is useful :)

The Pink Door

yuhuu, have you guys heard about The Pink Door? I just finally got there yesterday with my friends. It's a nice unique place with a literally pink door and their website also really pink! We actually were looking somewhere for happy hour and since Crush was closed and me and another friend hadn't been there before. All I can say, "it's just not the right place if you looking for variety". I think they only have like.... 5 or 6 options? and it's included with the drink list (ex: wine). Wait, I'm a little bit confused now, because I just look at their menu on the website but I can't see that they serve half price. The menu that we had in the restaurant has the half price menu. I have no clue -_-"

sautéed calamari
spinach, tomatoes, garlic & wine

This is the only thing that we ordered from the Happy Hour part, haha. It's really tender eventho not my all fave.

paccheri con sugo di noci & salsicce
five kinds of nuts, fennel sausage & a bit of smoked mozzarella

To be honest, I like their pasta, it's "flairly flairly" how i should describe this? *sigh* It's thin, "flair-ly" and al-dente. Sauce tasted OK and we actually pretty surprised with the size, because we ordered the full size and it only feel like half size the mushroom fettuccine

paglia e fieno
“straw and hay”white & green fresh fettuccine w/ exotic mushrooms, light cream sauce, fresh herbs & essence of truffle

Creamy fettuccine with local grown exotic mushroom and truffle oil. Pretty good :) BTW, we had funny experience, not funny but i felt sorry with my waiters. When he brought out the food, i was talking to my friend and when he said "hi" we didn't reply him. So, he hi us for the 3rd time and finally when we hi back to him. He replied "I thought you guys don't like me". Poor guy~

Bongo Bongo

It's puff with vanilla ice cream filling and lovely hot fudge on top. I might give 2/5. The only thing that i like from this dessert is only the chocolate so can't give any higher than 2.

Overall experience "good", located in post alley. If you walked around in pike place market, might be a good place to drop by. Service is fast, knowledgeable, when i asked for fresh black pepper and cheese, she suggested me only to put on the red sauce paste. She doesn't want me to ruin the flavor between truffle oil and cheese. :P

I actually took picture of the bread, not because it looks fancy but i like the olive oil and btw they charged you 50 cent for extra balsamic vinegar. No worry because they give you generously! :P I might go back again just because my friend told me to try the lasagna :P Parking might not be really convenient or i think we can ask for validation but i just don't know where, yet.

*Sorry for the weird size pictures, facebook changed their layout or system or whatsoever and I have to download it so i can get the pictures. HAIZ, and if my review sounds weird. Pardon me please
